Exploring Vedic Communication in the Modern Era: A Recap of the International Seminar at Hotel Lombok Raya

The recent International Seminar held in Hotel Lombok Raya on November 18th and 19th, 2023, organized by post Graduate Program Master's of Communication Science at Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram, was a testament to intellectual inquiry and scholarly discourse.
Themed "Vedic Communication in 5.0 Era," the seminar served as a platform for academic discussions and shared insights, featuring distinguished speakers each contributing a unique perspective to the dialogue.
Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma.,S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. and Prof. Dr. Siti Zaenab, S.Ag.,M.Pd. CiQaR, experts from IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, delivered thought-provoking presentations. Prof. Wirata expounded on the nuances of social communication within the framework of Sampradaya Jnana Budha Siva in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Meanwhile, Prof. Zaenab articulated the Hindu culture's viewpoint on early childhood education emphasizing its significance.
The seminar witnessed the scholarly contribution of Acarya Sumesh Soman Kuzhivelil, B.Ed., M.A. Sanskrit from the Sanskerta Dvipantara Foundation, emphasizing harmonizing ancient wisdom with contemporary challenges. Mr. Naveen Meghwal from the Swami Vivekananda Culture Center also shared valuable insights on Vedic communication in the present era.
Additionally, Drs. I Ketut Donder, M.Ag., Ph.D. from UHN I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar provided an insightful analysis of communication's transformative power, explaining its role in personal and societal betterment. Dr.Rajmohan B.A.M.S M.D(Ayu), an esteemed Ayurveda specialist and wellness consultant, delved into the interconnectedness of Ayurveda and the Vedas, revealing their symbiotic relationship.
Sunday's program featured a Student Symposium, a showcase of alumni achievements from the Master's in Communication Science program. I Wayan Wijatmika Dananjaya and Dila Ariyogi, alumni of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, eloquently discussed the seminar's theme and elucidated how the program's alumni successfully integrate their knowledge within professional settings.
The seminar concluded with a resounding success, enriching attendees with a deeper understanding of how ancient wisdom resonates in contemporary communication landscapes. The event encapsulated the essence of intellectual exploration and academic collaboration, fostering a deeper appreciation for the enduring relevance of Vedic wisdom in the 5.0 era of communication.
