REKTOR IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM RESMI BUKA UTSAWA DHARMA GITA KE II SE-PULAU LOMBOK DALAM RANGKA DIES NATALIS KE-25
Mataram Rektor Institut Agama Hindu Negeri (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., secara resmi membuka Utsawa Dharma Gita (UDG) ke II Se-Pulau Lombok dalam rangka memperingati Dies Natalis ke-25. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh UKM Dharma Gita dengan penuh semangat kebersamaan.Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh jajaran pimpinan IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Wakil Rektor 1 dan 2, Kepala Bagian Umum dan Layanan Akademik, Ketua PHDI Provinsi NTB, Kepala Bidang Bimas Hindu Kanwil Kementerian Agama Provinsi NTB, PSN NTB, para dewan juri, serta peserta dari berbagai daerah di Pulau Lombok. Mengusung tema Dharmagita sebagai Media Membangun Spirit Dharma Menuju Jagat Kertih, kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dari rangkaian perayaan Dies Natalis ke-25 IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. Tema tersebut menegaskan bahwa Dharmagita bukan sekadar ajang perlombaan, melainkan sarana membangun kesadaran spiritual dan memperkuat nilai-nilai dharma di kalangan generasi muda Hindu. Ketua Panitia, Ni Kadek Manik Mustika, dalam laporannya menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ini terselenggara berkat kerja sama seluruh panitia dan dukungan berbagai pihak. Ia menjelaskan bahwa peserta Utsawa Dharma Gita ke II berasal dari berbagai wilayah Se-Pulau Lombok dan mengikuti beberapa cabang lomba dharma gita. Kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan sraddha dan bhakti serta mempererat kebersamaan umat Hindu. Sambutan Pembina UKM Dharma Gita, Ni Komang Wiasti, S.Ag.,M.Pd.H menegaskan bahwa Dharmagita merupakan media efektif dalam membangun karakter dan memperkuat spiritualitas generasi muda. Ia mengajak seluruh peserta untuk menjadikan kegiatan ini sebagai momentum pelestarian seni dan sastra suci Hindu. Kepala Bidang Bimas Hindu Kanwil Kementerian Agama Provinsi NTB, I Gde Subratha,M.Pd.H turut menyampaikan apresiasi atas pelaksanaan Utsawa Dharma Gita ke II Se-Pulau Lombok. Ia menyampaikan ucapan selamat berlomba kepada seluruh peserta dan berpesan agar menjunjung tinggi sportivitas, menjaga kebersamaan, serta menjadikan ajang ini sebagai sarana pembelajaran dan peningkatan kualitas diri. Dalam sambutannya sekaligus membuka acara, Rektor IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram menegaskan bahwa lembaga yang dipimpinnya tidak hanya berorientasi pada penguatan akademik semata. Ia menyampaikan bahwa IAHN terus mengkader mahasiswa dalam kemampuan non-akademik seperti menjadi MC (pembawa acara), penari, penabuh, pendharma wacana, serta berbagai keterampilan seni dan keagamaan lainnya. IAHN tidak hanya mencetak lulusan yang intelektual, tetapi juga membentuk insan yang memiliki kekuatan spiritual dan karakter yang kuat, tegasnya. Dengan mengucapkan Om Awighnam Astu Namo Siddham, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. secara resmi membuka Utsawa Dharma Gita ke II Se-Pulau Lombok yang ditandai dengan pemukulan gong sebagai simbol dimulainya seluruh rangkaian perlombaan. Rangkaian lomba pun dimulai dengan penuh semangat dan antusiasme peserta. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi wadah pembinaan generasi muda Hindu menuju terwujudnya jagat kertih. BY:P26
Tuesday, 17 February 2026UTSAWA DHARMAGITA II REINFORCES CULTURAL PRESERVATION AND SPIRITUAL EDUCATION AT IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM
Mataram In commemoration of its 25th Anniversary, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram organized the second Lombok-wide Utsawa Dharmagita (UDG) through its Dharmagita Student Activity Unit. Carrying the theme Dharmagita as a Medium to Build the Spirit of Dharma towards Jagat Kertih, the event highlighted the role of sacred vocal traditions in strengthening religious values, cultural continuity, and character formation among the younger generation. The opening ceremony was held at the Wantilan of Saraswati temple within the university area, beginning with a traditional Pendet dance performed by the campus Dance Unit and accompanied by gamelan music from the Tabuh Unit. The performance symbolized reverence and hospitality, setting a solemn academic and cultural atmosphere for the proceedings. The ceremony was attended by the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, members of the university leadership, representatives of Hindu organizations across Lombok, adjudicators, participants, invited guests, and members of the public. In her report, Committee Chair Ni Kadek Manik Mustika expressed sincere appreciation to all stakeholders for their support in enabling the successful implementation of the event and conveyed apologies for any shortcomings in its organization. Advisor of the Dharmagita Student Activity Unit, Ni Komang Wiasti, S.Pd., M.Pd.H., stated that the theme of this years festival aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the Asta Protas of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. She emphasized that Utsawa Dharmagita serves as a strategic medium for preserving Hindu cultural heritage, strengthening sradha and bhakti, and preparing talented youth to compete at higher levels, including national competitions. Representing the Hindu Community Guidance Division of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Nusa Tenggara, I Gde Suberata, S.E., S., highlighted the notable achievements of regional contestants in previous Dharmagita events and encouraged parents and communities to actively support youth participation. He also urged the Dharmagita Development Board to prepare outstanding delegates for future national competitions. In his keynote address, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, S.Ag., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. reaffirmed the universitys role as a center for the preservation of Hindu customs, culture, and religious values in West Nusa Tenggara. He noted that cultural and spiritual activities are integrated into the academic curriculum to produce graduates who are both intellectually competent and spiritually grounded. The event was officially declared open with the ceremonial striking of a gong. The opening ceremony also included the presentation of certificates of appreciation to seven Pesantian groups in Lombok for their dedication to safeguarding Hindu sacred chanting traditions. This years competition features eight categories assessed by 24 adjudicators, with participants representing formal schools, Pasraman, and Pesantian groups from across Lombok. The implementation of Utsawa Dharmagita II is expected to strengthen religious literacy, preserve intangible cultural heritage, and develop youth leadership rooted in Dharmic values, while contributing to the achievement of the SDGs, particularly quality education, cultural sustainability, and inclusive community development, and supporting the Asta Protas of the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the promotion of religious moderation, cultural resilience, community empowerment, and the integration of spiritual values within educational institutions. Mataram Dalam rangka Dies Natalis Institut agama Hindu (IAHN) Gde Pudja mataram yang ke-25, Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Dharmagita IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram mengadakan kegiatan Utsawa Dharmagita dengan tema Dharmagita Sebagai Media Membangun Spirit Dharma Menuju Jagat Kertih pada Minggu, 15 Pebruari 2026, pukul 08.00 Wita, bertempat di Wantilan IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh Rektor IAHN, Wakil Rektor 1, Wakil Rektor 2, LP2MI, Kepala Bagian Umum dan Layanan Akademik Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram, Kepala Bidang Bimas Hindu NTB, Penyelenggara Bimas Hindu Kota Mataram, PHDI Provinsi NTB, LPDG Provinsi, LPDG Kota Mataram, Koordinator Dharmagita Provinsi NTB, MGMP, PSN Korwil NTB, PD KMHDI NTB, PC KMHDI Mataram, Peradah NTB, Pembina UKM Dharmagita, Seluruh Ormawa IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Para Dewan Juri, dan para peserta Lomba Utsawa Dharmagita Utsawa Dharmagita ke 2 sepulau Lombok merupakan kegiatan perlombaan atau festival nyanyian suci keagamaan Hindu yang diadakan oleh UKM Dharmagita Institut Agama hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram. Rangkaian Utsawa Dharmagita ke 2 ini dimulai dari pengukuhan dewan juri, pembukaan weda wakya, penampilan tari dari UKM Tari dan diiringi tabuh dari UKM Tabuh IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Sambutan-sambutan dan pembukaan secara resmi, penyerahan piagam penghargaan untuk pesantian sebagai bentuk apresiasi eksistensi budaya, dan pelaksanaan Lomba Utsawa Dharmagita. Lomba Utsawa Dharmagita ini terdiri dari Sekar Rare kategori TK dan SD, Sekar Madya, Lomba Dharmawacana, Lomba Sloka, Lomba Palawakya, Lomba Wirama, Lomba Mebebasan/Geguritan. Juri dari lomba ini berjumlah 24 orang dengan peserta lomba sebanyak 164 orang Pembina UKM Dharmagita, Ni Komang Wiasti, S.Ag.,M.Pd.H menegaskan bahwa utsawa dharmagita ke 2 ini sebagai bentuk pelestarian ajeg budaya luhur Hindu yang dijadikan sebagai ikon dari civitas akademika Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram. Selain itu utsawa dharmagita sebagai bentuk peningkatan sradha dan bakti untuk membentuk karakter mulia dari ajaran weda Dalam sambutannya, Kepala Bidang Masyarakat Hindu, I Gde Suberta memberikan apresiasi kepada Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram karena menyelenggarakan kegiatan Utsawa Dharmagita ke 2 sepulau Lombok. Beliau menyampaikan usulan kedepannya agar di Insititut Agama Hindu Gde Puja Mataram mengadakan lomba-lomba yang serupa serta memiliki ciri khas hindu seperti lomba gong hindu maupun lomba busana adat hindu sepulau Lombok. Dalam sambutannya Rektor IAHN Gde Pudka Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd menegaskan bahwa bilamana budaya dan kearifan lokal itu hilang maka identitas kita juga akan hilang. Bilamana identitas kita hilang berarti kita tidak punya peradaban, dan bila peradaban hilang maka simbolis hindu juga hilang. Makadari itu utsawa dharmagita ini merupakan simbol identitas kita yang perlu kita pertahankan dan dilestarikan untuk generasi ke depannya Kegiatan Utsawa Dharmagita ke 2 ini diharapkan dapat mengembangkan peminat dharmagita khususnya generasi muda Hindu, serta untuk menjaga dan melestarikan dharmagita untuk meningkatkan jnana dan sradha terhadap agama Hindu. Karena generasi muda Hindulah yang akan melanjutkan budaya dan kearifan lokal ini agar tidak hilang dengan perubahan jaman. BY:P26

In a powerful blend of spirituality, environmental action, and academic service, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram carried out its Community Service (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Mandiri) program under the theme Marine Biota Conservation in Supporting the 2026 SDGs Program on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Pantai Batu Bolong. The initiative brought together lecturers, students, staff, and representatives of Hindu organizations from across Lombok in a shared mission to protect marine life and strengthen commitment to global sustainability. The program began with a beach clean-up, transforming concern into concrete action as participants worked side by side to restore the shoreline. The activity then continued with a solemn joint prayer, symbolizing harmony between humans, nature, and the Divine values that lie at the heart of the institutions service philosophy. The program was chaired by Ni Luh Putu Anom Pancawati, M.Ak., whose leadership ensured the event ran smoothly and meaningfully. In her remarks, Dr. Ni Luh Sinar Ayu Ratna Dewi, SS., M.Ag as the Head of LPPM underscored that conserving marine ecosystems is a tangible contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals initiated by the United Nations, particularly Goal 14: Life Below Water. He emphasized that universities play a crucial role as agents of change, bridging knowledge, faith, and real-world action for a sustainable future. The Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, S.Ag., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., warmly praised the initiative, highlighting that the program reflects the timeless wisdom of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the belief that the entire world is one family. Through collective care for the environment, he noted, humanity nurtures not only nature but also global solidarity. Adding educational depth to the event, Mahendra Irawan from Yayasan Pecinta Penyu Mapak Indah delivered an engaging session on sea turtle conservation. His presentation raised awareness about the urgent need to protect marine biodiversity and inspired participants to become guardians of the ocean. Before the highlight of the program, the committee presented a certificate of appreciation to Mahendra Irawan in recognition of his unwavering dedication to environmental conservation. The event then reached its most symbolic moment with the release of birds, fish, and sea turtle hatchlings (tukik) into their natural habitat, an emotional gesture representing hope, renewal, and responsibility toward the planet. Conducted in an atmosphere that was orderly, warm, and filled with togetherness, the program showcased how academic communities can unite knowledge, faith, and action for the common good. Monday, 16 February 2026EMPOWERING VOICE OF DHARMA: ENGLISH DISCOURSE TRAINING OFFICIALLY OPENS AT IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM
Mataram, Friday, February 13, 2026 The English Dharma Discourse Training was successfully conducted on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Rectorate Building of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. The program was organized by the Language Center (UPT Bahasa) with full support from the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), as part of the institutions commitment to strengthening human resources in English proficiency integrated with Hindu religious values. The activity was officially opened by the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, S.Ag., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., whose remarks highlighted the institutions strong encouragement for academic innovation, global engagement, and the dissemination of Dharma values through international languages. The training was chaired by Dewi Kusumasanthi, B.Com.,MA., who led the organizing committee in coordinating the program. Under her leadership, the event brought together 21 selected participants, consisting of members of the academic community of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram and students from several senior high schools in Mataram. The training aimed to enhance participants competence in delivering Dharma discourses in English, an increasingly important skill in todays globalized world for academic purposes, religious outreach, intercultural dialogue, and cultural diplomacy. On the first day, two material sessions were delivered. The first session was presented by Dr. Sinar Ayu Ratna Dewi, S.S., M.Ag., who discussed the importance of English proficiency in the era of globalization. She emphasized that mastering English is essential for engaging in international communication, expanding academic opportunities, and disseminating Hindu teachings to a broader global audience. The second session was delivered by the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, who presented a lecture on The Strategic Role of Dharma Broadcasting in the Digital Era and Its Contribution to Asta Protas and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In his presentation, the Rector highlighted how digital platforms can be utilized to spread Dharma teachings effectively while supporting institutional strategic programs (Asta Protas) and contributing to global development agendas. According to the organizing committee, the training also covers various essential topics, including the concept and structure of Dharma discourse, language usage in English and Sanskrit, public speaking techniques, and ethical communication based on Hindu values. The program is expected to produce participants who are capable of composing and delivering Dharma discourses in English in a clear, structured, and communicative manner, as well as to develop future Dharma speakers with strong linguistic competence and moral responsibility. This activity is also expected to strengthen the institutions internationalization efforts and contribute positively to the improvement of human resource quality at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. The organizers expressed hope that the training will become a strategic step in preparing Dharma ambassadors capable of conveying universal Hindu values on the global stage while maintaining their cultural and spiritual identity. Mataram, Friday, February 13, 2026 A vibrant spirit of unity and celebration filled the morning air as IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram held a grand fun walk themed United in Steps, Excellent in Works to commemorate its 25th Dies Natalis. The event brought together the entire academic community, Hindu organizations, and sponsors from various sectors in a lively show of solidarity and shared purpose. The program was officially opened by the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting followed by the release of colorful balloons into the sky, symbolizing hope, progress, and the institutions continued contribution to society. In his remarks, the Rector expressed deep gratitude for the collective participation that reflected the institutes journey over the past quarter-century. This 25th Dies Natalis is not merely a celebration of age, but a reflection of our commitment to excellence, service, and harmony, the Rector stated. He emphasized that the fun walk embodied the spirit of togetherness and healthy living, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) particularly good health and well-being, quality education, and partnerships for the goals. He also noted that the activity resonates with the Asta Protas (Eight Priority Programs) of the Kementerian Agama RI, especially in strengthening religious harmony, environmental awareness, and community empowerment. Following the walk, participants gathered for a tree-planting initiative around the campus grounds, reinforcing the institutions commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development. The celebration continued with a campus socialization session delivered by Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Murba Widana, M.Ag., who shared insights on institutional development, academic opportunities, and the future direction of the university. Excitement peaked during the door prize drawing, where attendees eagerly awaited the announcement of winners. The grand prizes, bicycles and a refrigerator, sparked cheers and applause, adding to the festive atmosphere. The entire event unfolded in an orderly, lively, and warm atmosphere, strengthening bonds among participants and highlighting the enduring spirit of togetherness that defines IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram.
