Mataram, April 28, 2025 The State Hindu Institute (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram officially commenced its annual work meeting today, carrying the theme "Enhancement and Development of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram Towards Superior Accreditation." Held in the third-floor conference room of the Rectorate Building, the event brought together officials, faculty, and invited guests in a collective effort to advance the institution's quality and accreditation standing. The event opened with a report from the Head of the Organizing Committee, Ni Made Ayu Gempa Wati, S.Ag., M.Pd.H., who outlined the objectives and anticipated outcomes of the meeting. Mataram April 22, 2025 Earth Day is a global event dedicated to raising awareness about environmental protection and sustainability. Celebrated annually on April 22, it serves as a reminder of humanitys responsibility to safeguard the planet for future generations. Around the world, individuals, organizations, and governments engage in activities that promote conservation, including tree planting, waste reduction, and renewable energy adoption. As part of this years Earth Day celebrations, the Rector of the State Hindu Institute (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram, along with academic leaders and faculty members, participated in a tree-planting event on campus. This initiative is part of the National Movement to Plant One Million Matoa Trees, launched by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The tree-planting activity was conducted simultaneously across all work units under the Ministry of Religious Affairs throughout Indonesia. IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram reaffirmed its full commitment to environmental conservation and strengthening ecological awareness within religious and social life. Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. emphasized that this initiative is not merely symbolic but represents a tangible contribution to environmental sustainability. "This is more than just planting treesit is a real step toward preserving nature and ensuring a healthy environment for future generations. Mataram, April 20, 2025 Desak Made Yoniartini, M.Pd.H., M.Pd., a lecturer at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, was invited as a speaker at a seminar organized by Prajaniti Hindu Indonesia NTB. The event took place on the third floor of the Rectorate Building at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. The seminar was attended by representatives of all Hindu organizations across West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening religious understanding and community values. In her presentation, Yoniartini emphasized that one of the key purposes of marriage in Hindu teachings is to have children. However, not just any offspringwhat is expected is the birth of suputra, or virtuous children who will uphold and elevate the dignity of their parents. She also highlighted that education in Hinduism begins in the womb. This early stage of moral and spiritual formation is not only the responsibility of the mother, but also involves the father, the entire family, and the wider community. As a form of prenatal education rooted in Hindu tradition, Yoniartini discussed the magedong-gedongan ceremony, which reflects the sacred values of nurturing the unborn child. The Chairman of DPD Prajaniti Hindu Indonesia NTB, I Putu Dedy Saputra, S.T., M.M., through the Secretary of DPD Prajaniti NTB, I Gusti Agung Bagus Dwipayana, S.H., expressed his gratitude for the successful implementation of the seminar, made possible through the collaboration and support of the board and various stakeholders. "In Hindu teachings, a child's education begins in the womb. This is a crucial phase that we must all understand together," he said. Mataram, April 19, 2025 The Director General of Hindu Religious Affairs conducted a motivational and performance development session for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. The event, held on the third floor of the Rectorate Building at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, was moderated by Vice Rector, Dr. Drs. I Wayan Sumertha, M.Ag., and officially opened by Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. In his opening remarks, the Rector expressed his gratitude to the Director General for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit the campus and provide encouragement to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. He emphasized the importance of such guidance in strengthening professionalism and dedication within the institution. The Director General delivered a speech on the theme "Integration of Spiritual Values and Professionalism of Hindu State Civil Apparatus (ASN)." Mataram, April 17, 2025 The Faculty of Dharma Acarya at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram held its graduation (yudisium) ceremony for undergraduate students on Thursday, April 17. A total of 10 students from three study programs Hindu Religious Education, Early Childhood Education Teacher Training (PG-PAUD), and Hindu Religious Arts and Culture were officially declared graduates and awarded the academic title of Bachelor according to their respective fields. The solemn ceremony took place on the university campus and was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Dharma Acarya, along with the faculty leadership. In his address, the Dean expressed pride in the achievements of the graduates and conveyed his hope that the knowledge they had gained throughout their studies would be put to good use in advancing the Hindu community, the nation, and the country especially in the fields of education and cultural preservation. "Our graduates today are agents of change. We expect you to uphold integrity, continue learning, and stay committed to serving the community," he said. This graduation marks an important milestone and the beginning of a new journey for the graduates as they step into the professional world and community service. Several graduates shared heartfelt reflections on their academic journey, highlighting both the challenges and growth they experienced during their time at the university.
