Mataram – Three students from IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram made a proud achievement at the Festival Olahraga Masyarakat Nasional (FORNAS) VIII NTB 2025, securing third place in the Dance Sport category. The competition was held under the auspices of INORGA (National Sports Organization), specifically the Indonesian Dance Society Association (AMDI) of West Nusa Tenggara Province.
The winning team, consisting of Ni Made Widianti, Ni Made Mahadiwya Pradnya Paramita, and Ni Komang Putri Widiartini, competed in the Contemporary Nusantara Dance category. The event took place at the Bir Ali 2 Hall, Hajj Dormitory, on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
The three students represented different academic programs: Hindu Religious Arts and Culture, and Hindu Economic Management. Despite the intense competition from nine other provinces, their captivating performance titled "Mutiara di Lantai Dansa" (Pearl on the Dance Floor) earned them a well-deserved spot on the podium.
The choreography was crafted by Yani Timor Prajawati, with the musical composition by Tika Puspita Sari. Their performance not only reflected technical mastery but also embodied cultural richness and artistic expression, drawing enthusiastic appreciation from the judges and audience alike.
The Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, along with faculty and fellow students, expressed their pride and appreciation for the students’ hard work and achievement. This success also reflects the institute’s continuous support for student creativity and its commitment to integrating academic pursuits with cultural and spiritual expression.
Participation in FORNAS VIII NTB 2025 marks an important milestone for IAHN Mataram in strengthening its visibility in national-level cultural sports events. It is hoped that this accomplishment will inspire more students to explore their talents beyond the classroom and contribute to preserving and promoting Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage through innovative platforms.
