IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM STRENGTHENS ACADEMIC DIRECTION THROUGH STRATEGIC CURRICULUM EVALUATION WORKSHOP

The IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence by organizing a Curriculum Evaluation Workshop from Wednesday to Friday, February 25–27, 2026, at Hotel Golden Place. The three-day event gathered 44 participants consisting of lecturers and faculty staff of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, alongside external representatives from PHDI and the Head of the Hindu Community Guidance Division (Bimas Hindu) of the Regional Office of the Kementerian Agama of West Nusa Tenggara Province. The workshop committee was chaired by Dr. Nengah Sukendri, S.E., M.Pd.H..

The workshop featured four speakers, including three internal speakers, namely the Rector, Vice Rector I, and the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM), as well as one external speaker, Drs. I Made Sujana, M.A., Head of the Center for Curriculum and Learning Innovation at LPMPP, Mataram University. The event was officially opened by the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd , who emphasized that the curriculum is the main foundation of educational implementation and must always be updated to meet the evolving needs of the institution and society.

In his opening session, the Rector delivered a presentation titled “The Development of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram as a Center of Excellence and Competitiveness in Hindu Studies,” outlining a strategic roadmap for advancing IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram as a leading hub of Hindu scholarship. He emphasized the need for an up-to-date, outcome-based curriculum aligned with developments in science, technology, and societal needs while preserving the institution’s distinctive character.

The Rector also highlighted partnerships with stakeholders, graduate employability, digital literacy, and the integration of local wisdom as key priorities. The session prompted active participation and constructive discussion, setting an inspiring tone for the workshop.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in intensive discussions, reviews, and collaborative planning sessions aimed at refining and strengthening the institutional curriculum in line with current educational demands and stakeholder expectations.

The event proceeded smoothly in a dynamic, constructive, and collegial atmosphere, reflecting a shared spirit of dedication to advancing IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram as a distinguished center for Hindu higher education. The workshop is expected to produce concrete recommendations that will guide future curriculum development and support the institution’s long-term vision of competitiveness and excellence.
