Mataram — IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram held a blood donation drive on Friday (March 6, 2026) at the campus courtyard, bringing together members of the academic community, Hindu organizations, community leaders, and the wider public in a shared humanitarian initiative. The activity forms part of the institution’s social impact programs and its contribution to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.

The event began at 09.00 WITA and attracted participation from various stakeholders, including representatives of Hindu religious organizations, government institutions, alumni, students, and members of the campus community. The initiative aims not only to help maintain the availability of blood supplies for those in need but also to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and volunteerism among participants.

Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., emphasized that the blood donation program has become a regular activity organized by the campus as part of its commitment to community service and humanitarian engagement. According to the Rector, the program reflects the institution’s dedication to implementing impactful activities that directly benefit society. He explained that the blood donation drive is one of the concrete initiatives supporting the impactfull activity drive and contributing to the broader agenda of achieving the SDGs 2030.
“Through this program, we want to demonstrate that higher education institutions have an important role not only in education and research, but also in building social awareness and compassion within society,” he said.

He further noted that the activity represents a tangible expression of social concern and a real contribution to public health. By encouraging people to donate blood, the university hopes to help ensure the availability of blood supplies for patients in need while fostering a culture of empathy and mutual assistance within the community.

The blood donation event also served as a platform to strengthen collaboration between the campus and various Hindu community organizations across West Nusa Tenggara. Their participation highlights the collective commitment of religious and community institutions to supporting humanitarian causes and improving public welfare.

Through initiatives such as this, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram continues to reinforce its role as a socially responsible academic institution that actively contributes to the well-being of the community while supporting global development goals.
