IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM HOSTS PUSPENMA SHARING SESSION ON HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT POLICIES THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS AND RESEARCH

Mataram — Institut Agama Hindu Negeri (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram hosted a Sharing Session organized by the Center for Religious Education Financing (Puspenma), Secretariat General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Golden Palace Hotel. The session highlighted policies on human resource development for religious higher education through scholarship services and research funding schemes.

The Puspenma delegation was represented by Dr. Ruchman Basori, S.Ag., M.Ag., Head of the Center for Religious Education Financing, and Hendro Dwi Antoro, S.H., C.Med., Head of the Education Investment, Cooperation, and Research Team. Their presence aimed to disseminate information and strengthen collaboration with religious higher education institutions, particularly in expanding access to scholarships and research support. The event commenced with a welcoming address by the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. In his remarks, the Rector warmly welcomed the Puspenma representatives and expressed sincere appreciation for their visit. He also raised several questions regarding the requirements for obtaining scholarships and the procedures for registering as research reviewers. Furthermore, he conveyed the institution’s hope that IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram would be given broader opportunities to access research grants and scholarship programs.

The Rector also encouraged participants, consisting of lecturers and institutional officials, to carefully follow the presentation of programs and schemes offered during the session. He emphasized the strategic role of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) as the navigator in coordinating and facilitating participation in these opportunities. During the Sharing Session, the Puspenma team presented an overview of various scholarship pathways, research funding mechanisms, partnership opportunities, and policies designed to enhance the quality and competitiveness of human resources within religious higher education institutions. The discussion also covered administrative procedures, selection criteria, and strategic directions for future program development.

The session proceeded in a constructive, orderly, and conducive atmosphere, marked by active engagement and enthusiasm from participants. The visit was particularly significant as IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram became the first Hindu Religious Higher Education institution to be visited by Puspenma for this sharing session, marking an important milestone in expanding collaboration with Hindu higher education institutions. The event is expected to strengthen institutional readiness in accessing national scholarship and research programs, thereby contributing to the advancement of academic excellence at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram.
