Mataram, 22 February 2026 — A strategic policy briefing by the Directorate General of Hindu Community Guidance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia took place on Sunday at the 3rd Floor Hall of the Rectorate Building of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. The event gathered all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the institute to receive the 2026 Policy Direction delivered by the Director General, Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nengah Duija, M.Si.

The session was opened by the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., who expressed his deep appreciation for the Director General’s visit to the campus. He noted that the presence of the Director General not only strengthened institutional ties but also provided valuable enlightenment regarding the strategic direction of policies that will guide the institute’s future development. The Rector emphasized that such direct engagement is highly meaningful for ASN in aligning institutional programs with national priorities.

In his address, Prof. Duija underscored the urgency of self-management, adaptive leadership, and continuous innovation in navigating rapid organizational change. He encouraged civil servants to cultivate growth potential rather than relying solely on perceived natural talent, stressing that leadership development programs significantly enhance organizational performance.

He also highlighted the role of ASN as knowledge workers who must continuously strengthen competence, professionalism, and innovation to remain relevant in an era of accelerating technological and social transformation. Leadership effectiveness emerged as a central message of the policy direction. Prof. Duija explained that leaders can either drive or hinder change depending on their adaptability and approach. Responsive, contextual, and transformative leadership, he stated, is essential for building resilient institutions capable of addressing future challenges.

An additional key point of the Director General’s presentation emphasized the importance of self-management, continuous learning, and adaptive leadership among civil servants in facing rapid changes in technology, organizational dynamics, and societal expectations. He highlighted that ASN must evolve into proactive knowledge workers who cultivate innovation, strengthen professionalism, and remain responsive to change, as effective leadership can serve either as a driving force or a barrier to institutional progress. Through this perspective, all personnel at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram were encouraged to continuously develop their potential to support sustainable institutional transformation and national service.

The briefing concluded with a call for all ASN at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram to reinforce integrity, collaboration, and commitment in implementing the 2026 policy agenda, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session that allowed participants to engage directly with the policy direction. The event unfolded in a conducive, orderly, and warm atmosphere, reflecting a shared spirit of dedication and mutual respect among participants and leadership.
