EMPOWERING THE FUTURE: IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM HOSTS STUDENT TALENT AND INTEREST DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 2025

Mataram, October 1, 2025 — The Institute of Hindu Dharma Negeri (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram successfully held the 2025 Student Talent and Interest Development Program on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the 3rd-floor meeting hall of the Rectorate Building. The event began with a report from the organizing committee, delivered by Ida Ayu Ketut Hersudikwi Adnyani, SE., M.I.Kom, who expressed her appreciation for the committee’s dedication and teamwork that made the program possible.

The program was officially opened by the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. In his opening remarks, the Rector emphasized that talent is an innate potential within every individual that must be nurtured and sharpened to reach its fullest form. He noted that talents, when developed, not only benefit the individual but also contribute positively to society. He further extended his appreciation to the committee and applauded the enthusiasm of the student participants.

The opening ceremony was attended by university officials, student participants, and the academic community of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. Following the formal opening, the program continued with a series of insightful presentations. The first session was delivered by the Rector himself, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, on “Fostering and Developing Organizational and Leadership Skills.” The second session was presented by Dr. Joko Prayitno, S.Ag., S.T., M.Pd.H., Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Institutional Affairs, and Cooperation, on “Developing Student Ethics in Discovering and Communicating Scientific Truths.” The third material was presented by Dr. I Gusti Ayu Aditi, S.H., M.H., Vice Rector for General Administration, Planning, and Finance, with a presentation on “Talent and Interest Development from Legal and Educational Perspectives.” The fourth presentation was delivered by Ni Made Ayu Gempa Wati, S.Ag., M.Pd.H., Head of the General and Academic Services Division of the Bureau of General Administration, Academic, and Student Affairs, on “Building Self-Confidence through Public Speaking.” The final presentation featured Cahaya Sukma Dewi, Miss Indonesia NTB 2025, who spoke on “Building Self-Image and Positive Personality.”

This year’s Student Talent and Interest Development Program was followed by 17 participants, with the evaluation carried out by a panel of five judges: Ni Made Ria Taurisia Armayani, S.Sn., M.Pd.H.; Dr. Ni Luh Sinar Ayu Ratna Dewi, SS., M.Ag.; Ni Komang Wiasti, S.Pd., M.Pd.H.; Ida Bagus Benny Surya Adi Pramana, M.I.Kom.; and Ni Made Ayu Gempa Wati, S.Ag., M.Pd.H.

The event not only highlighted the creativity and potential of the students but also strengthened their confidence, leadership, and academic values. It is expected that through this program, students will continue to develop their talents and interests in ways that enrich both their personal growth and the broader community.

The atmosphere throughout the program was filled with enthusiasm as students actively engaged in the sessions, asking questions, and sharing their perspectives with the speakers. This interaction not only broadened their horizons but also created a meaningful exchange of ideas between students and academic leaders. Many participants expressed that the program provided them with new motivation and inspiration to further explore and refine their skills.

In closing, the Rector reaffirmed the university’s commitment to consistently support student development initiatives that balance academic achievements with extracurricular growth. He stressed that programs such as this are vital in shaping well-rounded graduates who possess not only intellectual competence but also strong character, leadership, and creativity to serve society and the nation.
