On April 29, 2025, the second day of the work meeting at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram took place in the third-floor auditorium of the Rectorate Building. Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah, S.E., M.Sc., affectionately known as Bang Zul, who served as the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) from 2018 to 2023, was invited as a keynote speaker.
Bang Zul addressed the topic of land grants in Sumbawa, a crucial prerequisite for upgrading the status of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram from an institute to a university. Previously, he had donated 2.4 hectares of land, and during this meeting, he announced an additional grant of 1.1 hectares. This brings the total land contribution by Bang Zul to 3.5 hectares. He expressed his hope that this support would significantly benefit the community, particularly IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram.
Accompanying Bang Zul, the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., extended his highest appreciation for the generous contribution, emphasizing how the additional land will play a pivotal role in facilitating academic expansion and institutional development.
On the same day, representatives from the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) delivered a session on system integration towards unified ASN data. The day's agenda concluded with presentations from the directors and deputy directors of the postgraduate program, as well as deans and vice-deans, focusing on the evaluation of 2024 performance, 2025 targets, and the 2026 work plan.
Beyond the formal discussions, Bang Zul’s presence at the event reinforced his long-standing commitment to educational advancement in NTB. His initiative to provide crucial resources for higher education institutions underscores a broader vision of supporting academic excellence and fostering future leaders.
With the land grant now secured, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram moves one step closer to realizing its goal of achieving university status. This milestone opens doors for enhanced research, expanded academic programs, and stronger collaborations to benefit the region’s educational landscape.
