Mataram, September 21, 2025 – Institut Agama Hindu Negeri (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram, in collaboration with Dhyan Foundation, carried out an international community service program through social assistance for children at Dharma Laksana Orphanage, Mataram City, on Sunday (September 21, 2025).
The activity was a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) previously signed between the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram and Dhyan Foundation. The collaboration was realized in the form of distributing basic necessities, hygiene kits, clothing, financial donations, and psychosocial support for the children of the orphanage.
The Head of the Service Team, Ida Bagus Made Arjana, S.Ag., M.Pd., emphasized that this initiative was a concrete implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, particularly in the field of community service. He also noted that the program served as a tangible outcome of international cooperation established by IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram with a strong orientation toward social care. Meanwhile, Dhyan Foundation’s representative, Mahima Jaini, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to working hand in hand with educational institutions in Indonesia, particularly IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, to deliver programs that bring meaningful benefits to society.
Chairperson of Dharma Laksana Orphanage, Mrs. Purniwati, expressed her gratitude, noting that the children welcomed the program with great enthusiasm. In addition to receiving aid, they also participated in motivational sessions and engaging group activities led by lecturers from IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram together with the Dhyan Foundation team.The Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., expressed his heartfelt appreciation for this collaborative initiative. He emphasized that the program not only brings tangible benefits to the children but also embodies the values of compassion, solidarity, and shared responsibility. He further noted that this partnership with Dhyan Foundation represents a meaningful step in fostering global cooperation, and he expressed his hope that similar initiatives will continue to flourish in the years to come.
This collaborative initiative is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those addressing poverty eradication, quality education, and reduced inequalities. By providing essential needs and psychosocial support, the program contributes to ensuring the well-being and dignity of vulnerable children while fostering equal opportunities for their growth and development. Furthermore, the program demonstrates how global partnerships can translate into local impact, reflecting SDG 17 on strengthening international cooperation. Through initiatives like this, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram and Dhyan Foundation reaffirm the importance of solidarity across borders in building a more inclusive, compassionate, and sustainable future for all.
Through this joint initiative, both IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram and Dhyan Foundation expressed hope to strengthen global networks while upholding the universal values of humanity, solidarity, and cross-border service.
