The Institut Agama Hindu Negeri (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram is intensifying preparations for the Punia Bhakti Rsi Yadnya activity as part of the sacred series of Siwaratri Day, which will be observed by Hindus on 17 January 2026. This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to integrating spiritual values with national and global development agendas, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 and the Asta Protas of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The activity is organized under the leadership of Dr. Ni Luh Sinar Ayu Ratna Dewi, S.S., M.Ag., who serves as both the Chair of the Organizing Committee and Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. Through careful coordination and institutional collaboration, the committee is ensuring that the event is not merely ceremonial but also meaningful in strengthening the role of higher education institutions in spiritual, ethical, and sustainable development

Punia Bhakti Rsi Yadnya is designed as an expression of devotion and respect from the academic community toward sulinggih and pemangku, while simultaneously reinforcing the internalization of dharma, ethics, and local wisdom within the implementation of the university’s Tri Dharma—education, research, and community service. The activity embodies Hindu philosophical teachings that emphasize knowledge as a sacred offering and moral responsibility, aligning spiritual practice with academic and social contribution

In its broader context, the program highlights the relevance of Hindu spirituality to contemporary development challenges. By linking Siwaratri’s message of self-awareness and inner transformation with SDGs and Asta Protas, the event underscores the idea that sustainable development must be rooted in harmony between human beings, nature, and the Divine. This perspective strengthens the vision of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram as a center for spiritual enlightenment and ethical scholarship in the modern era.

The preparation of Punia Bhakti Rsi Yadnya also reflects IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram’s strategic alignment with the Asta Protas of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, particularly in strengthening religious moderation, enhancing quality education, and promoting environmentally and socially sustainable development. In line with the SDGs 2030, the program emphasizes the role of spirituality as a moral foundation for inclusive growth, human development, and ethical leadership, positioning religious higher education institutions as key contributors to sustainable national transformation. Through Punia Bhakti Rsi Yadnya, LPPM IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram reaffirms its commitment to fostering a spiritually grounded academic environment and contributing actively to national priorities and global sustainability efforts. The institution hopes that the spirit of devotion and service cultivated through this activity will inspire continuous innovation and meaningful community engagement throughout 2026 and beyond.
