Mataram, January 9, 2025 — The Rector of the State Institute of Hindu Religion (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram held a Simakrama forum with religious and community leaders on Friday, January 9, 2025, at the 3rd Floor Hall of the Rectorate Building, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram.

The forum was attended by Sulinggih, Pinandita, Hindu religious leaders, community figures, leaders of Hindu organizations, as well as representatives of the academic community of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. This activity aimed to strengthen communication, absorb public aspirations, and enhance synergy between the campus and the wider community.

In his opening remarks, the Rector expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all community elements for their ongoing support toward the progress of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. He emphasized that IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram belongs to the Hindu community, therefore constructive input, expectations, criticism, and suggestions from the public are essential for shared institutional advancement.

The dialogue session took place in an open and interactive atmosphere. Participants conveyed perspectives on the strategic role of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram in serving the Hindu community, the need to strengthen academic quality and institutional governance, and the importance of the campus remaining actively present among the people.

As an outcome of the forum, several key points were identified, including the need to continuously improve the quality of education, expand community-oriented programs, and strengthen collaboration with religious and social institutions. The Simakrama also functioned as a joint evaluation forum to refine campus programs and formulate future strategic directions, including the aspiration and long-term plan for IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram to potentially transform into a university.

Through this activity, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive governance, continuous improvement, and meaningful engagement with the community in supporting sustainable institutional development. (DKS)
