Mataram, March 28, 2026 — A vibrant atmosphere of enthusiasm and togetherness marked the implementation of the Hindu Religious Competition Based on Literacy and Financial Inclusion, held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. The event was organized by the Working Group of Hindu Religious Education Teachers (KKG PAH) Cakranegara Sandubaya Batch IV Year 2026, under the theme “Realizing an Intelligent, Character-Driven, and High-Quality Hindu Generation.” The opening ceremony took place at the 3rd-floor meeting hall of the Rectorate Building of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, attended by participants, teachers, lecturers, and invited guests. One of the distinguished attendees was the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd who expressed his appreciation for the innovative initiative carried out by KKG PAH Cakranegara Sandubaya. In his remarks, he emphasized that such activities play a crucial role in enhancing the understanding and practice of religious diversity, improving the quality of religious life, nurturing students’ talents and interests, fostering innovation, and preserving cultural values, traditions, and local wisdom.
The Rector also highlighted the importance of guiding and nurturing young generations by quoting a sloka from the Nitisastra:
Eka api suputraḥ vidyayā yuktaḥ sadguṇaḥ,
Na ca kūpa-śataṁ kāryaṁ, na ca vāpī-śatair api.
“Which means that the merit of having one virtuous and knowledgeable child (Suputra) surpasses that of building a hundred wells”.
He expressed his warm support for the organization of this religious competition on campus, emphasizing that IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram belongs to the Hindu community and functions as a collective space for educational and cultural advancement.
The competition featured seven different categories, showcasing the diverse talents and competencies of participating students. Lecturers from IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram actively contributed as members of the judging panel, ensuring professionalism and academic integrity throughout the event.
